Distribution:

from the Russian Far East and China east to Japan and south to Taiwan

up to 10 cm

Season:

two flights, one late Spring the other August/September. The pupae overwinter

Rearing:

extremely easy and fast growing. Ready to pupate in three weeks. Keep in spacious, well ventilated plastic containers. Both caterpillars and pupae make a hissing sound when threatened.
