Peru

Wingspan:

a smaller Molippa species, with a wingspan in between 5 and 7,5 centimeter

Season:

In captivity continuously

Food plants:

Robinia (recommended), but also Rubus

Rearing:

Not difficult. Somewhat slow growing species that can be reared in relatively small, well ventilated plastic containers. The caterpillars need 7 to 8 weeks to develop. If you're using Robinia, a netted cage is not recommended (it is impossible to keep cut Robinia leaves fresh in a netted cage). Daily food changes are best. Keep warm, dry and clean.  The pupal stage is short (only 3 to 4 weeks).
