similar to A. polyphemus, with a wingspan up to 14 cm
more or less continuously when kept warm
Quercus and Fagus preferred, less well on Juglans
Similar to A. polyphemus. Fairly easy on Quercus and Fagus. Can be reared in well ventilated plastic containers throughout all stages, as long as everything is kept dry and clean. An average living room temperature will do. Will pupate within five to six weeks (probably faster throughout summer months). The pupal stage is fairly short (four to six weeks). Do not attempt to overwinter.
