Distribution:

Chile, West Argentina

Wingspan:

In between 5 and 6,5 cm

Season:

at least 2 flights annually (November to May)

Food plants:

Rosaceae (Rubus, Rosa, Malus, ...)

Rearing:

Not an easy species. Many eggs die during transport from Chile to Europe. Keep warm (minimum room temperature) and clean. Rear in spacious, well ventilated plastic containers. Avoid condensation. . Ready to pupate within 6 weeks (depending on temperature and quality of the food). Pupal stage in between flights is short (approximately 3 to 4 weeks).
