Food plants:

Prunus species (including serotina and laurocerasus), Corylus. Also reported on Eucalyptus and Mangifera

An easy but slow growing species. Caterpillars can grow to a length of 16 cm and will pupate in approximately 3 months. It can take a couple of months before the moths appear. Keep the first instars in well ventilated plastic containers, but move to netted cages when larger. Wear gloves when handling the caterpillars and cocoons, the hairs will get stuck in your skin and can cause some serious irritation.
