Distribution:

the Russian Far East, through China south to Taiwan

Wingspan:

In between 7 and 9,2 centimeter

Season:

depends on the local conditions, at least two brood annually, but in the warmer parts and in captivity 4 or more. Pupae overwinter.

Food plants:

Rosaceae (Prunus, Pyrus, Malus, Crataegus, Eriobotrya, Kerria, ...) and Zizyphus

Rearing:

Not difficult. Keep warm and clean, in well ventilated plastic containers or in netted cages. Ready to pupate within 5 weeks. The pupal stage  in between flights is short (around 3 weeks).  Pupae after the last flight in autumn can be overwintered in the fridge.
