Manduca

The Manduca are closely related to the Sphinx species. Currently there are 73 species recognized. All occur in the Americas, some like for example Manduca sexta can be very common and a pest in tobacco and tomato crops. They are larger sized moths.

The few species that are regularly available (sexta, rustica and quinquemaculatus) are easy to rear and suitable for newcomers. Many of the other species probably as well, but they are rarely or not at all available.
