Distribution:

from the Himalayas (India & Nepal) to Vietnam and south to Thailand & Malaysia

Wingspan:

in between  7 and 8 cm. In captivity sometimes even smaller

Season:

Continuously, with multiple flights per year

Food plants:

Vitaceae (Vitis, Cissus, Parthenocissus, Leea). More difficult and not recommended Salix caprea and Salix cinerea

Rearing:

An easy species on Vitaceae.  Keep warm (minimum room temperature), in spacious well ventilated plastic containers. Keep dry (avoid condensation and wet leaves, do not spray).  Ready to pupate within 5 to 6 weeks.  When kept warm and with a somewhat higher ambient air humidity, they brood continuously..
