Liquidambar, Salix (especially caprea and cinerea), Persea

Rearing:

Not difficult. Keep warm (minimum room temperature) and clean. Rear in spacious, well ventilated plastic containers when young and move to a netted cage when they've reached the fourth instar. Avoid condensation. Fast growing. Ready to pupate within 4 weeks (depending on temperature and quality of the food). Pupal stage in between flights is very short (approximately 2 to 3 weeks). Cocoons from the last flights can overwinter in a cool, unheated room (frost free) until Spring. The fridge is not recommended.
