This is probably a genus you haven't heard of before. But when I say Opodiphthera it probably rings a bell. The best known species like eucalypti and helena have moved to this brand new genus. The Opodiphthera still exist, but there are only 3 species left. The 5 Austrocaligula species all occur in Australia. One, eucalypti, has been introduced in New Zeeland and established a healthy population there.
These species mainly feed on Eucalyptus and are, in general, not so easy to rear outside their natural habitat.
