Aurivillius

Aurivillius is an African genus of around 19 species. The colorful medium sized moths can be difficult to correctly identify as many look rather similar. In general the rearing is quite easy and suitable for all levels of experience. Many are reported to feed on woody Fabaceae. However, in captivity Salix (caprea or cinerea) often work better. Cistus turned out to be a very good winter substitute (for at least oberthueri). Most species are fast growers.
