Paralebeda

There is some confusion on how many Paralebeda species exists. Males of many species look almost identical and sometimes this is also true for the females. The number will be around ten or eleven, depending on how many you will consider as true species. All of them occur in southeast Asia and are large moths (especially the females) in different shades of brown.

The rearing of a Paralebeda is pretty straightforward. Many of the caterpillars have a preference for Betula and Alnus. They are usually grayish brown and become very large.
