Quentalia

 

Many of the American members of the Bombycidae are still poorly studied and not known to the general public. Take for example the Quentalia, with at least 52 species not a small genus, but have you ever reared one or do you know someone who has? Probably not.

These are small moths and the caterpillars are not large either. Rearing them is all in the name of science. Hardly something to show off with. When you rear a Quentalia, you are actually doing some real research. Take plenty of pictures, you might have a scoop. And always keep in mind that entomologists are extremely nerdy people that get all excited about something this small. Yep, hard to understand, but true nonetheless.
